Biography

Composer, born in 1937, Georgia, Tbilisi, Georgian; graduated from the Belarusian State Conservatoire (Prof. A. Bogatyrow's class of composition, 1969), post graduated courses, 1972. Honoured Worker of Art of Belarus, 1982, Belarus two State Prize Holder (the Laureate of Belarus State Premium) 1988, 1996. Professor (1993), class of composition of Byelorussian State Academy of Music. Member of the Composer's Union of Soviet Union and Belarus, (1971), member of the Musicalworker' Union of Belarus, (1995), member of the Theatreworker' Union of Belarus (2001).
